The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is in the process of implementing a new database platform for the reporting and release of entered merchandise.  The current deadline for the startup of this new system is February 28, 2016, but there may be additional delays because this platform requires release from all Governmental agencies, and many of them are not yet prepared.

WB Skinner and the NY/NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association (NYNJFFFBA) are working closely with CBP to accomplish implementation in such a way that customer shipments are not delayed.   Please find a copy of the letter below prepared by the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America which explains the difficulties in this process and our collective efforts to implement the new system in a seamless way.
